EVbee + Hydra EVC
Hydra EVC was founded in 2022 in the UK, emerging from its well-established sister companies in the MID metering sector. During its years of operation, Hydra has been dedicated to supplying reliable and high-quality EV charging solutions at competitive prices. This has been combined with a clear focus on providing industry-leading customer care.
On the partnership, Hydra CEO Steven South says:
"We believe this partnership with EVbee will not only enrich the EV industry but will also expand our knowledge and technology in this space…it's a win-win for everyone.”
Bringing EVbee's innovative charging solutions together with Hydra's experience in UK networks, this partnership symbolizes a mutually beneficial arrangement. By providing quality AC public charging solutions that offer a streamlined user experience, the two parties can help contribute to the advancement of EV charging infrastructure in the region. By doing this, the companies can unite to help their broader goals of furthering the transition to e-mobility.
For EVbee, the partnership with Hydra brings the opportunity to work with an established name in the UK's EV charging sector, opening up new markets for EVbee products. As well as this, Hydra's solid installer network and proven record of excellent customer service is something that EVbee values highly. As a well-respected entity within the close-knit UK EV industry, working closely with installers and other industry professionals allows a more in-depth understanding of the current EV sector climate. This increased understanding of the EV industry environment allows us to stay ahead of the curve in the latest industry developments and tailor our designs to suit the real needs of charge point operators and EV users.
Tailored AC Public Charging Solutions for the UK
The flexibility and plethora of installation options that EVbee's Lumina AC Public Charger enables stood out, particularly for Hydra. Therefore, EVbee and Hydra have worked together to develop three products that share the core design of EVbee's Lumina AC Public Charger but have been specifically tailored for Hydra to support a variety of charging scenarios.
The AC public chargers in the series are all equipped with a robust exterior casing that can withstand harsh weather conditions and are designed with longevity in mind, giving peace of mind to charge point operators for the reliability of their charging solutions. There is also the option for a daisy chain wiring system, which enables operators to enjoy optimum efficiency. As well as making the process more convenient and efficient for operators, EV users will appreciate easy navigation via the touch screen and seamless app integration, which provide a simple charging experience.
Retaining the core concept of EVbee's Lumina, the partnership between the two companies has created three products tailored for UK markets. The collaboration sees the Echo Pro as the most compact version of the charger that supports wall-mounted installation. The AC charging range also includes two pedestal versions of the charger: Genesis Lite and as well as Genesis Pro which includes an additional integrated payment terminal.
Creating charging solutions suitable for a range of circumstances is pivotal to EVbee's goal to make EV charging carefree, and, significantly, this is an element that Hydra also values highly.
Looking to the future
Partnering with Hydra symbolizes a positive beginning to the year with a concerted effort towards an important goal for EVbee in 2024 - to expand reach into more markets. The partnership with Hydra EVC will play an important part in EVbee's growth in the UK this year and lays the foundations for more exciting developments.
Already, the partnership is granting unique opportunities to work together to develop products that have been tested robustly for their local environments. The collaboration's full AC public charging series will be on display in March at Hydra HQ. This exclusive event will provide an opportunity for installers and charge point operators to get to know our products with on-site training and demonstrations. Increased access to localized testing facilities and EV sector professionals is important and allows EVbee to engage with local industry professionals to get first-hand feedback on products whilst also ensuring those interacting with our charging solutions are familiar with our products and capable of getting the best out of them.
EVbee's partnership with Hydra is an exciting step in our development. It is just the beginning of our journey working with local networks to bring our charging solutions to more markets.
